Trans Fat linked to Endometriosis

A recent Harvard study involving 70,000 women in America found that those with the highest consumption of trans fats were 48% more likely buy drugs online to develop endometriosis than those with the lowest consumption.
Endometriosis affects nearly 1 in 10 ten women typically causing severe menstrual pain and in some cases infertility. Previous research also found that eating 4 grams of trans fat a day can lead to infertility in women. It is thought that because trans fats increase inflammation in the body it encourages rogue cells growth of the womb lining.
However the study revealed that eating a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids found in oily fish, walnuts & flaxseed provided a 22% reduced risk against the disease.
This is providing a clear link between diet and endometriosis and confirms the health promoting effects of Omega-3. Eat Well, Be Well.
