Nutrition Info: Calories in a boiled egg

Boiled Eggs

I love eggs!  I find them nutritious, tasty and a great way to start the day (my usual breakfast is 2 boiled eggs and coffee)

Calories in 1 boiled egg:

  • Energy: 77 calories
  • Protein: 6.26g
  • Carbs: 0.56g
  • Fat: 5.28g

Eggs are an excellent source of protein (they contain 9 essential amino acids), are low in carbohydrate and have a healthy source of dietary fat. If you are concerned about the fat content, simply remove the yolk as that is where the fat is retained (the whites are the protein). They are a good source of Choline (great for brain and nervous system function); contain Vitamin D and also promote healthy hair and nails.
