KFC… it’s finger licking good… and dripping with fat…
When I researched this I was shocked at how much energy is contained in 1 little KFC chicken breast and what a difference removing the skin makes!
KFC Chicken Breast Original Recipe (1 serving)
- Energy: calories: 360 calories
- Protein: 34 g
- Carbs: 11 g
- Fat: 21 g
KFC Chicken Breast NO SKIN (1 serving)
- Energy: 160 calories
- Protein: 31 g
- Carbs: 2 g
- Fat: 3.5 g
You can save 200 calories and 17.5g fat by removing the skin from your chicken breast. I know that the flavour in the ‘secret herbs and spices’ in the skin are considered the best part of KFC, but this does highlight that if you have KFC, you can make it slightly more healthier by removing the fatty, deep fried skin.
