Nutrition info: Calories in Ovaltine
Posted on | August 1, 2012 | No Comments
Ovaltine is a branded milk drink that comes in chocolate and malt flavours. The original name was “Ovomaltine” however due to a spelling error on the trademark registration when being imported to Britain in 1909, it was accidentally renamed in most countries (except in Europe)
Able to be drunk warm or cold – the company website claims that Ovaltine contains ‘essential vitamins, minerals and is fat-free’ (bonus!)

Ovaltine seems to be the best choice out of the chocolate / malt flavoured drinks. It would be even lower calories if you mixed with water. Although don’t get caught up in the ‘healtheir option’ mentally – it still contains calories but is somewhat better than milo or horlicks.
When you consume – please remember – don’t add sugar, use light milk and try to reduce the portion of ovaltine you use if you mix it yourself.
