Nutrition Info: Calories in Black Pepper Crab
Posted on | July 27, 2012 | No Comments
Black Pepper Crab is the second most popular flavour of crab to eat in Singapore. Coming in first place is of course Chilli Crab and then in my opinion tying for second place is either black or white pepper. (I prefer white pepper!)
Pepper crab is a much healthier option compared to chilli crab as there are no sugary sauces in the recipe. The potentially unhealthy ingredients in the pepper crab recipe is butter and oil that is used for frying.
Recipe Ingredients: Garlic, oyster sauce, ginger, black pepper, butter, sugar (optional) chilli (finely chopped) and a crab of course.

Overall, this is quite a good option on its own. However, when you combine it with the fried rice, buns or other fried sides to complete the dish, it can make a big impact.
If you’d like to remain health conscious, try steamed rice and order steamed / braised green vegetables.
Finally, remember to always follow my additional recommendations every time you eat: Eat slowly, put your utensils down between bites and always stop when you feel 80% full because it’s better to waste it than to ‘waist’ it. Enjoy!
