Dragon Boating – Singapore River Regatta 2010

Posted on | November 3, 2010 | 1 Comment

On the 30th & 31st October, 2010 was the 28th Singapore Dragon Boat River Regatta at Boat Quay.  The 300 metre course runs from the Boat Quay Bridge down towards the fullerton.  There was the usual singapore downpours of rain followed by hot and humid sunshine, paddling action in the water, a few crashes to keep us entertained and topped off with a little bit of controversy over lane allocation, currents, race times and being bumped out of medal placings.

The Austcham Paddle Club had another very successful weekend coming home with:

Silver:  Expat Mixed 20 crew

Bronze (but should be Silver):  Open Mixed 20 crew

1st:  Minor Final Ladies 10 crew
